Celtel Zambia to go public



Celtel Zambia Plc, Zambia's largest mobile phone operator, is pleased to announce its intention to list on the Lusaka Stock Exchange ("LuSE"). The Company has applied for the registration of its ordinary shares and a primary listing on the LuSE with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the LuSE respectively. An indicative date for opening of the ordinary share offer to the public has been set for 28 April 2008. Celtel Zambia shall list 5,200,000,000 ordinary, Celtel Zambia's parent Company, has provided an offer for sale of 1,040,000,000 ordinary shares in Celtel Zambia Plc at an offer price per share to be communicated to the public before the offer opens and all the necessary regulatory approvals have been granted. This represents 20% of the share capital in Celtel Zambia. The shares will be offered to the Zambian public, Zambian Institutional Investors, employees of Celtel Zambia and International Institutional Investors.Celtel Zambia is undoubtedly one of the best well run and highly profitable businesses in Zambia and competes among some of the best blue chip companies in Southern Africa.
